Scrap metal yard in Brussels city, Belgium. In 2003, the Huntz-Vandenbossche family founded the company Brussels Recycling Metal, B.R.Met, and became a leader in the Brussels Region for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment as well as the fraying of cables. The metal waste of all kinds is purchased from both professionals and private individuals and is manually sorted and dismantled to be recycled for further use in metal factories and foundries. In order to valorise the waste residues through the fragmentation of metal waste, B.R. developed innovative treatment processes. The aim of this is to be able to supply high-quality raw materials from the recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and WEEE. The collected material is handled rigorously to meet your requirements. Thanks to our proximity structure, you can contact us for any specific request (exceptional material, special quality, etc.) and we will help you or refer you to a suitable partner. The increasing consumption of electrical and electronic equipment with a programmed lifespan has led B.R.Met to specialize in the treatment and contamination of WEEE. We try to have a positive impact on sustainable development in our city. We therefore expect all actors to work together in order to give waste a second life, i.e. in reuse or recycling. By bringing your waste electrical and electronic equipment to B.R.Met, you contribute to a lower environmental footprint of waste. With an increasing production of electrical and electronic equipment of all kinds, B.R.Met aims to be a major player in reducing waste type WEEE. Together with a non-profit organization, B.R.Met wants to revalue the material for reuse. Thanks to B.R.Met's expertise in processing WEEE, we started looking for a solution for the reuse of a fraction of these electrical and electronic devices. We are currently working closely with various organizations and are looking for the best solution to obtain a lower impact of the waste produced in the Brussels region. At the same time, we offer everyone the opportunity to have access to fully-fledged second-hand equipment.
