В първите дни на месеца цената на медта беше 9700 долара за тон, а на 26 януари цената на медта беше 9960 долара за тон. С покачването на цената на медта на борсите за метали се повишиха и изкупните цени на медния скрап в различни страни. Според сайта scraprice.com най-високата цена на медта за 27 януари 2022 г. е била в Япония - до 8000 евро за тон. Изкупните цени на медния скрап варират в различните страни и зависят главно от цената на медта на борсите за метали.
